Save more. Spend less. Invest wisely. These are universally accepted as common sense steps to fiscal stability. Steps Washington seems intent on ignoring.
It seems common sense has once again become uncommon in Washington.
Government spending is reckless, out of control, and threatens the principles our democracy was founded on. Bailouts. Takeovers. Government takeover of healthcare. These are all problems Washington created before turning around and arguing we need more money to fix the problem.
Congress must be held to the same level of fiscal responsibility we are held to in our own lives. Why? Because Washington has mortgaged the future of this country, and it will be our children and grandchildren who pay the price.
That is unacceptable.
